Mitch Tunkel

It is with sad hearts we have learned that Mitch Tunkel passed away unexpectedly Sunday.  He was a member of the band for many years and played french horn.  Services will be held  Wednesday November 28 at 10am at 2411 SW 28th avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312.  If you plan to go, please contact Cheryl at 313-506-6184.

Holiday Concert Light up the Galt November 28, 2018

Join the City of Fort Lauderdale and the North Beach Restaurants and Shoppes for our newest light up event that will bring the magic of the holiday season to the Galt Ocean Mile! Enjoy an enchanted evening of live music, entertainment, food and fun for the entire family. The free event will take place in the North Beach Restaurants and Shoppes, located at A1A and Oakland Park Boulevard along N.E. 32 and 33 Streets. Highlights will include live performances on four stages, a holiday concert by the Fort Lauderdale Symphonic Winds orchestra, a kids zone, and a spectacular tree lighting ceremony!

Holiday Concert Light up the Beach November 21,2018

The festivities begin at 5:30 pm with the South Florida Chamber Ensemble performing “Sounds of the Season.” At 6:30 pm, Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis will flip the switch to illuminate Fort Lauderdale Beach and a larger-than-life beach snowman display.

The Fort Lauderdale Symphonic winds will perform at 7pm
